Firefighters have managed to prevent spreading of the fire in a 42-storey building in Besiktas, Istanbul. The smoke could be seen from different districts of the town.
The exact reasons why the fire burst out are not known, but specialists don’t exclude that the reasons could be technical. The burning fragments of the building dropped to the ground bringing about great danger.
Reportedly, numerous known people live in that skyscraper.
112 firefighters-rescuers and 45 helicopters joined efforts to put the fire down. It was possible to isolate the fire 45 minutes later. During that time all the adjacent streets were closed.
