Today, the opening ceremony of Gagarin’s statue will take place at the Cradle of Aviation Museum in New York, tert.am reports citing Interfax.
It is stated a Russian businessman presented Gagarin’s bust to the American museum. The statue will be placed near Sputnik 1 satellite.
“Gagarin belongs not only to Russia but also to the entire world and it is very important that his bust becomes a part of the Cradle of Aviation Museum collection,” Russia’s Consul General in the US Andrey Yushmanov said.
