Sahar Sabet, 19, was refused purchase of an Apple iPad. The company refused to sell its product to the girl as she is an Iranian.
The girl turned to the local media trying to receive clarifications. It turned out Apple has an agreement, according to which its product isn’t sold to Iranians. The salesman substantiated his act also with a document where it is stated US holds embargos against Cuba, Iran, North Korea, Sudan, and Syria. The policy states that Apple forbids the export, re-export, sale or supply of its products to those countries "without prior authorization by the US Government".
