Armenian GMs Tigran Kotanjyan and Hrayr Simonyan , as well as Georgian Armenian GM Davit Harutyunyan have each scored 3.5/4 and share the 13th place in the standings of Karen Asryan Chess Memorial held in Jermuk.
The Chess Federation of Armenia told ArmenPress, all the three players played well in the fourth round and formed the group of leaders for the first time.
59 chess players from Armenia, Russia, Spain, Iran and Georgia are participating in the memorial.
The 5th Karen Asryan Memorial, which has already won an international reputation, will end on June 23.
The talented Armenian GM, member of the Armenian National Team, Olympic chess champion Karen Asryan died unexpectedly at 28 in 2008.
