From today the complete collection of Arno Babajanyan’s piano solo works performed by Hayk Melikyan will be presented to the attention of the Armenian and international music-loving public. PanArmenian.net informs, the CD was released at the initiative of the RA Ministry of Culture.
After the performance of the works by the famous author himself, this CD is the first with its format and saturation, which included the works “Six Pictures”, “Polyphonic Sonata”, “Poem”, “Reflection”.
“The recordings are a result of two years’ work. “Six Pictures” was the first work by Babajanyan I recorded in 2010. At that time I didn’t still imagine my successive recordings of Babajanyan’s works would result in a CD, which would include the whole solo heritage of the composer. It was a difficult, binding and scrupulous work. I am deeply grateful to the Ministry of Culture for realising the initiative,” Hayk Melikyan said.
