Europe's oldest-known resident, Marie-Therese Bardet of France, died Friday at the age of 114, tert.am informs citing France Press.
She lived in a nursing home for elders in Loire-Atlantique since the 1990s. Just a few days ago, on June 2, she marked her 114th birthday. She celebrated her birthday with her 90 years old son and 58 years old grandson.
Bardet (her maiden name was Jegat) was born in 1898 in Lorient. In 1920 she married painter Leon-Francois Bardet. Her 7 grandchildren are now alive. She has 6 great-grandchildren and even children of great-grandchildren.
