This year, the Rapid Response Forces established within the frames of CSTO will conduct exercises in Armenia. The heads of CSTO member states and parliamentary committees will participate in them.
Chairman of the NA Standing Committee on Defense, National Security and Internal Affairs Hrayr Karapetyan told journalists while summing up the recent CSTO meeting held in St. Petersburg. He attached importance to the adoption of one more decision, according to which a CSTO member country must receive the consent of the members states for concluding a strategic agreement with a country, which is not a CSTO member.
“Forming part of the CSTO military political alliance and being one of its most active members for strengthening the guarantees of its security proceed from Armenia’s strategy. And we are such,” Hrayr Karapetyan said.
