Catholicos Aram I, who is in Iran on these days, has condemned the attack on the Armenian church in Homs, Syria. In his statement the Catholicos notes “… the attack on religious-church centres and sanctuaries is severely condemned by us”.
Tehran’s Alik Daily informs that Aram I has expressed hope that Syria will soon regain its peace and unity of its people.
“… The Armenian people will always be grateful to the Syrian people, which received the Armenians who had survived the Armenian Genocide. The Armenian people will, as always have their role in Syria’s flourishment and especially in its peace and stability,” Catholicos of the Great House of Cilicia Aram I has stressed.
