On May 17, American legendary singer, world renowned disco legend Donna Summer died at 63 in Florida after a long battle with lung cancer, ArmenPress informs making a reference to Itar-Tass.
Summer was one of the founders and main starts of disco music in 1970-1980s. She became the first singer in the history of music whose singles rose to the top on Billboard Hot 100 for four times in one year. She sold more than 130 mln records in the whole world.
In 2008, after a 17-year break Summer released her new studio album-Crayons.
Summer won six Grammy music awards. A star with her name was placed in Hollywood Walk of Fame in 1992.
