“If a coalition is formed it will be to the detriment of PAP and to the benefit of RPA,” expert of political and election technologies Armen Badalyan is sure, and this irrespective of what PAP ‘s arguments will be while entering into a coalition.
Speaking about the issue which is most discussed in the post-election period the expert says: “Forming a coalition will be to the detriment of PAP first of all for the reason that it will start to be associated with Orinats Yerkir Party in the public consciousness and secondly, people cast a vote for the party to come up as an alternative force, and in that case this consideration disappears. Besides, PAP will have no more resources during the next parliamentary elections in order to ensure electorate.
RPA has 75 mandates in the parliament. Of course, in many cases they say 69 mandates, but when we say RPA it means OYP is with it, like in the known film “When I say Murad, Arus is with me”. In this case, theoretically RPA doesn’t need a coalition but if a coalition is formed, RPA will rise up to the level of PAP in the public consciousness, while PAP will come down to the level of OYP,” Armen Badalyan says.
