Embassies of several NATO member countries in Islamabad, particularly, the embassies of Australia, Great Britain and France received packets containing 5g black powder, as well as letters including threats. It was written in the letters the powder would be added to all the supplies foreseen for Afghanistan’s NATO forces.
The packets and the letters were sent three days ago from Sindh province of South Pakistan. The suspicious powder was sent for laboratory analysis.
To recall, Pakistan stopped allowing to transport the freight foreseen for international forces in Afghanistan through its territory last November after the American air strikes killed 24 Pakistani soldiers. After that the relations between Washington and Islamabad significantly worsened.
