The needy families will continue paying 100 AMD instead of 132AMD for 1 cubic meter gas till April, 2013. The 2011-April, 2012 period of the assistance programme was extended by one year during the government session, today. Prime Minister Tigran Sargsyan has announced that the executive body will continue the policy of partial compensation for gas supplied to the socially vulnerable population.
“We have created better conditions for the socially vulnerable population. They, in essence, didn’t feel the rise in gas price as we had maintained the 100AMD/1cubic meter price for them if the gas consumption doesn’t exceed 300cubic meter. Extending the period of this assistance by one year we, in fact, are reducing the negative social impact, which the needy families could feel,” Tigran Sargsyan has said.
