19th Armenian athlete qualifies for the Olympics

Musa Murtazaliev was the 19th Armenian athlete to qualify for the Olympic Games competing in the Freestyle Wrestling Olympic Qualifier in China. In the fight for the bronze medal in the 74 kg category Murtazaliev won Kyrgyz Bator Bazarov by the score 1:0, 0:0, 2:0.

In this tournament the wrestlers who have taken the 1st -3rd places, qualify for the Olympics.

Mihran Zaburyan (55kg), Davit Safaryan (66kg) and Hajimurad Nurmagomedov (84kg) from the Armenian freestyle wrestling team have also qualified for the Olympics.
