Information technology enterprises didn’t have a downfall in the years of crisis, and in 2011 they had a 30% increase. Qualified specialists were the main problem of the sphere. In the sphere of construction there is no lack of qualified specialists.
The 12th conference of the Union of Information Technologies Enterprises was held today without RA Prime Minister Tigran Sargsyan. His representative passed his welcome. During the conference the main goals and projects of 2012 were presented. According to the members of the union there is a need of qualified programmers and good computer specialists.
“We have both a problem of quality and number. Even many enterprises are included in the trainings and they prepare specialists for themselves,” the chairman of the union Hovhannes Avoyan said.
The executive director of the union thinks that a ministry will be needed in the government to manage the innovation sphere. Karen Vardanyan thinks that the youth must be encouraged so that they engage themselves in technology business. It will contribute that the number of technological enterprises reaches from 350 to 1000.
In the near future it is planned to establish a National Engineering Laboratory in the Yerevan State Engineering University, which will be a collective laboratory of all the specialties and will give an opportunity to the students to promote scientific activity. 6 mln USD will be spent on the project.
“I hope, with this the engineering university will reach another level and the target task will be solved, which is have 2000 graduates annually,” Karen Vardanyan said.
Hours after the opening of the 12th conference of the union the opening of the exhibition “Construction and Interior” took place in the Sports Concert Complex. This time RA Prime Minister Tigran Sargsyan was present, as it was planned.
